Not only are the Cubbies 3 1/2 games ahead of the Cards for the division lead, but they are also a half game ahead of the
Angels for the lead in all of baseball. Although their 14 game home winning streak has ended, the Cubs don't plan on letting
losing become part of their routine.
The Cubs are also on pace to send at least three players to start the legendary all-star game at Yankee Stadium in July.
Geo Soto is about 500,000 votes ahead of Atlanta's McCann for the lead in the fans' all-star voting. Although injured, Soriano
is also in the lead for outfielders in the National League followed by Kosuke Fukudome who is in second. D-Lee, Aramis Ramirez,
and DeRosa are all in second in voting for their respective positions. Theriot is in third for voting of all shorstops, yet
he is only about 200,000 votes out of it. Come on Cubs' fans! Keep on voting!
